Biography

I-Lun was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. While she was a kid, she read a lot of books and developed her interest in science at a very young age. She knew nothing about musical theatre until one day she watched "Cats" on DVD which her teacher played in the music class. She was 14, and she was swept off her feet.

 

Instead of persue musical theatre as a career, I-Lun had always kept it as a hobby. She attended the National Taiwan University and finished her Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Meanwhile, she was a member of Muscial Club in the university and had her first performing experience in "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" at the age of 19. At the age of 24, she worked as a director/lyricist and produced an original musical show "Shinya Shokudou" in 2015. She realized that she might have the ability to do something in the theatre industry, therefore, she decided to attend American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). By making this life-changing choice, giving up the promising career as an engineer is the risk she had to take.

 

I-Lun will graduate from AMDA in Febuary, 2017.
